You have to hand it to these people. When it comes to nuance and spin the Letwins of this world are seriously talented.
Here is a trick that was missed by the defending barristers of the Yorkshire Ripper, for instance,
"Mr Sutcliffe, would you like to make a statement to the court?"
" Yes sir, I must humbly admit that I shouldn't have allowed my arm to hit the good lady's head with a ball-pein hammer."
You never know, it might have made a difference.

ReplyDeleteBoy, that was tough for him, he really struggled to even apologise AND he had the gall to suggest concerned constituents should WRITE to him. Now, call me old fashioned but I never had to apply for a letter of apology before.
I never thought I would be in a position to quote Bush The Lesser but these people really do "hate our freedom".
Situations such as these serve to educate the public as to the true nature of politicians, or for many to reinforce the distain already held so I will refrain from the stream of expletives that ran through my mind looking at the video!
