I have a few friends from Northern Ireland. I notice that they all seem to love the Iris Robinson scandal. Last night I asked one of them why.
He said,
"Fraud!?"
"Sex!?"
"Hey, we're normal."
It obviously feels like a breakthrough moment after 40+ years of bloody murder.
Some details of the case had passed me by, however.
Apparently when Mrs Robinson first approached young Kyle for sexual favours, he demurred. The excuse the 19-year-old claims to have given her was that he had 'testicular cancer'.
Good try Kyle, but not good enough.....though he can hardly complain at £25,000 a grind.
Anyway, this miscreant has got what he deserved. It was announced on Friday that he has been charged......with having an offensive person about his weapon.

As a native of Belfast the news has been a bit weird lately, Gerry Adams discussing abuse in his youth by family members. Now the fundie Christians showing lots of skeletons in the closet. Thank God they are back to high level negotiations again and back to business as usual (grin)
